World's Fastest Boat - Earthrace:
Earthrace is a 78 foot alternative fuel powered wave-piercing trimaran; part of a project to break the world record for circumnavigating the globe in a powerboat and to do so using only renewable fuels.The boat's engines are powered completely by a biodiesel fuel source. This fuel is derived mainly from animal fat, soybeans, or other forms of biodiesel fuel. The p owerboat itself is a 78-foot dramatic- looking wave-piercing trimaran, designed by Craig Loomes Design Group Ltd, with two 540 hp Cummins Mercruiser diesel engines, fueled with 100% Biodiesel, and is made mostly of carbon composite. It cost $1.25 million, which was mostly funded by generous sponsors. When asked, "Regrets about the cost of it all?" Pete Bethune replied "No...You know, I do have the coolest boat in the world".

NEWS, -Asaduddin Owaisi is accused number 1 in Medak case, may be arrested

Hyderabad: The Medak police might arrest MIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi in connection with a case booked against him in 2005 by the Patancheru police for abusing the then Medak district collector.

Senior police officials at Medak said that Owaisi was the first accused in the case and there was a non-bailable warrant against him which would be soon executed by the police. His brother Akbaruddin Owaisi is the second accused and was produced before court on Thursday in the same case.

Medak top cops said that they could arrest the MIM president as he had not appeared before the court since 2010. 

“The Owaisi brothers, who are first and second accused in the case, have failed to appear before the court since 2010 in this case. We brought Akbaruddin to the court through a prisoner transfer warrant (as the MIM leader is in custody because of the hate speech case).

Asad will be arrested, says police

Stating that there is a non-bailable warrant pending against MIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi in a case booked against him in 2005, Ramachandrapuram DSP M. Madhusudhan Reddy said, “We will arrest him and bring him to court.”

According to Patancheru police, the Owaisi brothers, along with other MLAs, had protested against then Medak collector Anil Kumar Singhal during road-widening works at Mutangi village of Patancheru mandal on April 16 in 2005. They had obstructed officials from carrying out their duties alleging that a place of worship was being damaged, the police said.

The Owaisi brothers had surrendered in court in 2009, and got bail. However, they had failed to appear before the court for the next hearings though four other MIM MLAs, who were also accused in the case, had turned up, the police said.

The case booked against them was under Sections 147 (punishment for rioting) 153 A (promoting enmity between groups), 353 (assault on public servant obstruc-ting him of discharging duties), 290 (punishment for public nuisance), 295 (deliberate acts to outrage religious feelings) and 506 (criminal intimidation) among others.
